Baby Furniture

I found some pics of the furniture we decided on online.   It's also at CreationsBaby.com   They don't display on the site the color we are actually getting this in.  They told us at the store this only came in a lighter brown color.  We like it a lot.  It's a medium Oak/Cherry color.

Here is an idea of the color we would be getting it in:

We are going for just a crib and dresser at the moment.  I'd really like the hutch that goes on top of the dresser as well.  They are built really really well.  I love it!!

Mrs. Jackson

Over the weekend we made the grand announcement that we are MARRIED.  We actually have been married for just a bit but had waited to make an announcement.  I bought Jonathan his wedding band on Saturday and that made it official.  We are planning a reception for June 2012.  That gives me time to have the baby and lose some of the weight (if not all).   We want all of our friends to be able to celebrate our marraige with us.  We will more than likely include in it a vow renewal since none of our family or friends witnessed our wedding.
Here is a picture of the ring I got him:

Sunday morning and afternoon we went to look to register for the baby.  I really needed to pick out a bedding & room decor.  I got a little frustrated at the lack of options inside Babies R' Us and Target in Murfreesboro.  My friend Hellen recommended we go to USA Baby in Franklin.  She was right!  They had beautiful furniture and bedding there.   I picked out a navy blue/white design and a solid wood crib and dresser.   The crib turns into a toddler bed and a regular bed when needed.  It's really nice.

Here is what the room will look like (except the furniture-ours is a lighter wood and different style)

I'm really happy to have got that out of the way!!  I still need to register somewhere like Wal-Mart/Target for all the little things you need.  I might need a little help with that part!

We went to a couple pool parties over the weekend, which was nice!!  I was a little hesitant at first to just get in a tankini with my pregnant belly but I got over it really quick with the mid 90's temperatures!!   Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend.  :)

TGIF!!

I am so glad it's Memorial Day Weekend!  There will be so many fun things to do this weekend.  Hopefully we can manage it without spending outside of our budget.  Last night we went to go see Hangover 2 with Kelley, Mark, Hellen and another guy...forgive me I forgot his name.  I remember him from Time Out though.  Also, the girl sitting behind us was none other than Lacey, who used to work at Time Out with me.  Small world.  The movie was eerily similar to the first one.  Maybe a bit too much?  It was absolutely HILARIOUS though.  I laughed my butt off! I think Alan really makes the movie.

My mom just called me from Knoxville where she was helping watch my nephew Asher for a few days.  She said my sister was packing her car FULL to bring clothes and a few other baby items back for me.  **Awesome!!**    I will probably go by my parent's sometime this weekend to pick it up and see my family for a bit.

Sunday is Kyann's birthday as well as Stefanie's birthday.  One's at Mikado's and one's at Sambuca.  Not sure what we'll do about that yet.  Hope everyone has a good weekend! ;)

PS- almost forgot.   Jonathan will be getting medically discharged due to his foot injury.  It's kind of a big deal.  It's what I call *a blessing* lol.   It is NOT fun being in the army.   At least this way he got his student loans paid off.  They will pay him out of his contract and he can start getting back into golf.  Jonathan has always taught golf for a living.  He has done so in Chicago, LA, & Miami.   His ultimate goal isn't to teach though.  He'd really like to see himself playing for a living.   Hopefully he will know sooner than later when he will be done with the army.  It may take up to a year for the discharge to be completed.  Just think no more commuting to Clarksville, TN. =D   I'm happy for him.  Hope his foot gets all the way better though one day.

I am officially 21 weeks pregnant.  A little more than halfway.  A tornado came through my neighborhood, according to my electricity company (NES) and has damaged my sub-station.  I haven't had power since 5am yesterday morning.  REALLY not fun.  It's too hot to sit around and read a book or to clean up around the house..  So, Jonathan and I went out to Mafiaoza's last night (he had never been since he's from Chicago) He LOVED it just as I thought!   We had a wonderful time watching the Bulls and then came home to *still* no electricity.  Sleeping half naked on a love seat while Jonathan slept on the couch is not exactly ideal to say the least.  I called the power company today after going home on my lunch to find out the power is still OFF.  They said they were trying to get everyone back up and running by TODAY.  So..cross your fingers.  Ideally, I would like to get the fridge cleaned out and refilled by tonight.

Jonathan and I have not had a kitchen table since living together. lol. pitiful.     I found one on craigslist who said she would sell it to us for $50.

What do you think?   Kinda cute for just the 2 of us.
